Covid - 19 Update

by United Mint Campus
United Mint Campus and all UMC offices are closed during Pandemic Covid-19. To help you continue your Learn/Work/Play lifestyle during the time of Covid-19 we have compiled some resources for you.
Dear United Mint Campus community,
United Mint Campus and all UMC offices are closed as of February 2020 due to Pandemic Covid-19. While the current public health risk due to the coronavirus is rated as moderate by the Spanish Health Ministry, we at United Mint Campus put the health and safety of our students, staff, and faculty above all else.  As information is limited on this novel virus, we have decided to close campus and all offices. Additional time will be given to program participants to complete their certificates, if they are in a certificate awarding program.
Spain’s nationwide state of alarm remains in effect through May 9. The Spanish government announced plans to gradually relax some confinement measures in a series of phases over the weeks ahead. UMC continues to monitor the COVID-19 situation in Spain and globally, consulting official information provided by Spain’s National Ministry of Health, the U.S. Embassy in Spain, and the Centers for Disease Control, among other sources in order to determine when future programming will be feasible.
To help you continue your Learn/Work/Play lifestyle during this time we have compiled some resources for you and will update this section as the Covid-19 situation unfolds:
If you are a member of our community in Spain, we recommend for up to the minute information:
If you are a member of our community in the United States we recommend  NPR  as a new resource.

Health and Wellness
If you are lucky enough to be in a place where you are still allowed to go outside for exercise, DO IT! The sunshine, fresh air, and exercise will help your immune system and mental health.
If you are not allowed outside for exercise, begin exercising in your home everyday. Remember that medical systems are stressed at the moment, so take it easy. Do stretching routines multiple times per day versus a heavy workout. It’s no secret that we are huge fans of Outside Magazine, so here are their recommendations: https://www.outsideonline.com/2410573/home-workouts
Use myfitnesspal for nutrition tracking. The app/website is free for all the basic information that you need to track. The myfitness pal blog has recipes and exercise tips.
